The Geelong West Brass Band is always looking for keen brass and percussion players who read music to join the ranks in our energetic B Grade band.
Even if you haven't played for a long time, or play another brass instrument (trumpet, french horn), it's not that difficult to transition and you would be very welcome.
The band has high-quality instruments available to loan for members.
The Brass Band consists of the following instruments
- 1 x Soprano Cornet (Eb)
- 9-10 x Cornet (Bb)
- 1 x Flugel Horn (Bb)
- 3-4 x Tenor Horn (Eb)
- 2 x Baritone Horn (Bb)
- 2 x Euphonium (Bb)
- 2-3 x Tenor Trombone
- 1 x Bass Trombone (Bass Clef)
- 4-6 x Tuba (Eb and Bb - Treble Clef)
- Percussion (Drum Kit, Tuned Percussion, Auxiliary Percussion)
